While many now know Mykonos as the place to be seen, the island has another side to it; one that’s discreet and focused on quiet luxury. The Greek island has an abundance of buzzy, well-known restaurants, but authentic culinary spots are becoming more and more prevalent. Domes Noruz Mykonos’ reputation places it into the latter category, and the hotel just launched a new restaurant, Antonino’s, which strives to highlight authentic Italian cuisine.

Antonino’s was created as an emotional journey for guests. “Inspired by Antonino himself, a man who believed food is never just about eating but about belonging, connection, and love, Domes embraced his story and brought it to life in Mykonos, Crete and Corfu,” says Antonis Papalas, DOMES Group food and beverage partnerships and operations in an email interview with Forbes. “Antonino reflects on memories of cooking with the family, and these memories became his dream: to share that language of love through food. It was created not simply as a restaurant, but as a living memory: a space where heritage meets imagination, where every dish whispers of childhood nostalgia while carrying the refinement and creativity that Domes is known for.”

The goal with creating Antonino’s was to take his most cherished childhood memories and turn them into shared dining experiences.

The goal with creating Antonino’s was to take his most cherished childhood memories and turn them into shared dining experiences. “This is what Domes stands for, taking authentic stories and translating them into spaces where people can feel connection, love, and home,” says Papalas. “For us, Antonino’s is not just about Italian soul food; it is about the universal desire to be nurtured, to be welcomed, to sit around a table and feel you truly belong.”

Dishes on the menu are focused on Italian cuisine. Some of the most popular plates include the Caccio e Peppe (which is prepared as Antonino’s grandmother once did), alongside the Macinata al pomodoro (a flavorful beef patty served with fried gnocchi and fresh tomatoes). According to Papalas, the pizzas, which are made with authentic Italian dough, are a playful nod to tradition. “Each dish is designed to balance nostalgia with creativity, a philosophy at the heart of Domes’ culinary approach.”

Taking inspiration from Antonino’s carefree childhood summers in the 60s, the restaurant aims to transform his memories into a dining experience. “Handmade pizzas and pastas, crafted with authentic Italian dough and recipes passed down through generations, awaken flavors that feel both familiar and new,” says Papalas. “Wrapped in vintage allure and striped nostalgia, it’s a tribute to sun-drenched afternoons, the scent of tomato vines and basil, the laughter around long family tables. At Antonino’s, every dish is a love letter to heritage food, every sip of spritz is a taste of la dolce vita.”

Antonino’s is the newest addition to Domes Noruz Mykonos, one of Domes’ newest properties in Greece.

Antonino’s is the newest addition to Domes Noruz Mykonos, one of Domes’ newest properties in Greece. “Domes chose Mykonos for Antonino’s because the island itself is a celebration of life, of beauty, hospitality, and togetherness,” says Papalas. “This was the perfect stage for Antonino’s, where Italian soul could harmonize with Mykonian vibrance. The bohemian dreamscape of Mediterranean paths, lush greenery, and sweeping Aegean views creates a setting that feels both timeless and alive. Antonino’s is a toast to heritage, love, and belonging, a culinary heartbeat that connects Italy to Mykonos and every guest to the Domes family.”
