MARQUETTE, Mich. (WBUP/WJMN) — The Barbiere family’s Italian restaurant, Villa Capri has announced its impending retirement.

“We’d like to thank our loyal customers, many friends, and staff who give their all, day in and day out,” the family wrote in a post online. “Serving the Marquette area for over 58 years, we are proud and incredibly grateful for the years of support.”

Their last day of business will be March 22 or until the food runs out.

In the comment section of their post, a variety of restaurant patrons shared their personal stories with the Villa Capri over the years including anniversary dinners, childhood memories and their relationship with both the food and the Barbiere family.
