I just moved to North Carolina about a month ago. Naturally, I grabbed some Texas Pete to give it a shot. Accidentally grabbed the “hotter” version which ended ip working on my favor. I kinda dig it. I say like 7/10 with some pretty good spice to it and that classic thin North Carolina style.

Anyone know why it is named Texas Pete?

Maybe my favorite cayenne/ tabasco sauce and my local dollar tree has them on lock for $1.25

Just came here to see what people thought of Texas Pete. I’d never tried it before today. Figured it wasn’t worth my time. Ended up enjoying it on some picadillo for lunch. My go-to everyday sauce is Tapatio, or pepper X table sauce (iykyk), but a bottle of Texas Pete is definitely coming home with me today.

I like to dip sandwiches in it. Bread, mayo, cracked black pepper, Swiss, honey roasted turkey. Assemble and dip!
