Anyone know what is the name of this contraption is and if it makes a good espresso? Seems like the kind of thing I'd own just for the novelty of it!

  1. Did they just… use the espresso machine to steam dumplings?

    That’s downright genius.

What a wild ride! So does the latte taste like steamed pork?

  3. Dumpling + Espresso was not the pairing I was expecting this morning.

Make it more complicated. I challenge you!

I’m not sure if I should be impressed or exhausted.

So no one knows the name of this thing? I want one 🙄

  8. You should steam the milk after extracting the espresso, will retain the better texture of the milk.

  9. What happened to the steamed milk? And the crema? It looked so promising, and then that watery end result.

Had me mesmerized until that completely immersion-shattering pour but then the dumplings brought me back

  12. You are as mad as a box of frogs, sensational use for a pressure cooker, well done, best thing I’ve seen on Reddit today, thanks.

Nah and gross. That milk sucked too.

I think I burnt myself just watching this process.

Highly enjoyable and even more maddening…

So much extravagance, but you frothed the milk so early it lost all its texture by the time you poured it? Every gadget on the planet but you WDT’d with your finger? And it was a little blurry but did you turn the filter upside down to put it all back together?

Sweet mother of home made! So that’s either a double boiler or he’s rocking dumpling water in his shots. Either way that brew water has to be at least 208f (97.8c) if not hotter WITH deflection after it travels the pipe. That would be a raunchy thick moka pot tasting shot with a hint of steamed pork.

    … I want it
