Based on [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnXocmLpTmE&ab_channel=SipandFeast), this was our dinner, and leftovers made 4 large portions. Entire thing was 6 large portions for about $10 in total.

A modification based on suggestions from the recipe, added a block of frozen spinach thawed in the microwave then tossed in (they also suggest using frozen peas). Also used 1 pound of ground beef rather than 1.5 pounds.

We use Better than Bouillon for the broth (as it’s cheaper than buying multiple containers for a few cups and takes up much less space (and less waste). We used frozen garlic and basil blocks so no chopping involved. Also used frozen onions that I chopped a while ago. See [this older post](https://www.reddit.com/r/MealPrepSunday/comments/1j07zej/sometimes_meal_prep_is_prechop_portion_and/) as an example. This is why I enjoy prepping ingredients! It’s for nights like these when we can’t be bothered to put in the effort.

Both of us were exhausted from work and did not feel like cooking, but this one pot meal was easy to throw together and easy to clean up.
