I’ve been debating purchasing this Recteq for a while now, is now the perfect time to? Do y’all recommend?

I’ve heard a lot of good things, and I want to get one. I just don’t have recteq money right now.

First I’ll say yes, this is the time to buy imho. I’ve been watching the price of these for about 18ish months and this is just about as low as it goes. I was going between this and the backyard beast and picked the deck boss because I could get the grill, cover, shelf and a bag of pellets for about $40 more than just the beast + cover. I also think the boss is a good size. I regularly host 50+/- folks for BBQ throughout the spring, summer and fall with about as much space as the boss has. I don’t think I need the extra space from the beast so I went with the Boss. Hope you get what you’re looking for and enjoy ur grill.

My boss has that exact grill and I have the Searwood XL 600. We both bought our grills around 2 months ago. Both are great but we both agree the Searwood is the better grill. More smoke flavor on briskets, ribs etc and much better searing on steaks and burgers. Both are excellent and better than anything you could buy 2 to 3 years ago, and better than any Traeger or Pit Boss you can buy today. So if you want it, grab it!

Not sure about perfect, but without a crystal ball, it’s hard to know. Their prices just went up for the first time in 4 years and they haven’t received any update about them going up again in the near future. They confirmed to me that there *will* be a Black Friday sale this year, no specifics on the discount.
So will it be better than these prices? I’m not sure. But I’d probably just pull the trigger now. Waiting 3 more months for potentially $40-50 cheaper isn’t worth it to me. I’m too impatient, personally.

Yes using one for years works great very consistent.

Got mine a couple months ago at 4th of July sale and love it. Just used it today. Pro tip- Set up your account, add it to your cart but don’t check out. They will send a coupon code for an additional $50 off 1K after a day or two. I added the folding shelf to get to the 1K price point, but it was worth it. (its like getting the rectec shelf that I wanted anyway for $50)

Now is the time to do it. They’re great grills and they’re only going to get more expensive with the tariffs.
