I’ll say one thing based off my experience with a cream colored Le Creuset…. buy the darker colors. I baked bread in my Le Creuset dutch oven, and at the high heat turns every little dirt smudge and oily fingerprint to black. It took a bit to clean it up and looking new again.

Has anyone tried these? I’m curious about how they hold up with long term use and how bread turns out. TY!

The enamel on these is not up to the standard of Le Creuset (you can see a chip on the edge of the display already), but at half the “on sale” price, it will absolutely do the job.

Wouldn’t a Dutch oven work just as well but then also be useful in other ways that this isn’t?

I just picked up the black one from Sam’s Club this past weekend. I’ve baked 2 sourdough loaves in it, and both have baked well with good crusts. I will say, something in the coating turns my fingers black when I am cleaning it (although that may be user error), and the lid is pretty darn heavy. Great for baking but hard on my wrists. So far, it’s a great price on a good product.

These look nice if you can keep them very clean and display them, but I’ll stick with my lodge combo cooker, much more versatile piece of equipment.

Tramontina is no Le Creuset but it delivers good value for its price. Own a set of 2 Tramontina Dutch ovens purchased from Costco.

Honestly, to hell with the imperial system:
I spent a full two minutes starting at the pictures trying to figure out what a 9.5 score in bread oven means, and of course it’s fucking inches.
Excuse me whilst I find a stale loaf to try and rip apart.
