Yep definitely my fav. It’s infuriating most sushi places only have this appetizer, and maaaaybe one or two yellowtail rolls on the menu. I don’t get it.

Yellow tail is delicious. I recommend trying toro if haven’t already done so – it’s great served nigiri and sashimi.

Ask for belly cuts if you are the bar- occasionally places will have it on the menu. It’s the best part. (IMO)

Yellow tail is amazing. I’m not sure if it’s my favorite but a restaurant near me served the freshest and most amazing sushi that I ever had and it was yellow tail. It’s not consistently the best imo but when it’s done right it’s the best.
The way it coated the whole palate required me to have ginger in between each bite. It was an experience as much as a meal. It was also $30 for 12 sashimi slices with rice that had flavored perfectly to pair with it.

Hmart has it freshly cut every Friday, grab a bottle of ponzu, one jalapeño and you can recreate that dish

Try seared yellowtail nigiri. If it’s done right it’s out of this world.
