Albertsons in Boise (same company) routinely has tri tip on sale for $6 a pound….this is robbery

Haven’t noticed any difference in price where I’m at in Texas. That’s an insane price. Where are you at? Not really related, but last time I ordered groceries someone fucked up and I got $35 worth of free beef. I think it was 6 preformed fresh beef patties and 4 chuck steaks.

Safeway sucks. Overpriced and the meat quality is always poor. Costco has prime tritip for a few $ less a pound and Wagyu tritip for just a few $ more a pound.

Curious how much for the good steak cuts like rib eye and tenderloin, if the tri-tip is priced like that. Whole Foods tri-tip might actually even be a couple $ cheaper/lb.
Tri-tip pricing at one of the chains in So Cal earlier this week (pic not the best, but it’s $11.99/lb, sale for $6.99/lb, bout 33% higher than it was a couple years ago, but OP price is wild)
