The Treasure Valley is getting a new option for Italian dining in a busy shopping hub.
North Italia, which is opening its first location in Idaho, will begin serving customers on May 28 at The Village in Meridian. The restaurant, billing itself as a “modern Italian concept,” will be next door to the Village Cinema movie theater at 3690 E. Monarch Sky Lane, Ste. 100.
On the menu for North Italia is a variety of dishes such as white truffle garlic bread, seared sea scallops, hot honey and smoked prosciutto pizza, pork Milanese, brunch items which include strawberries and cream French toast, poached eggs and polenta, and desserts such as brookie sundae and a hazelnut torta among many others. The restaurant boasts fresh-made pasta daily in a “neighborhood Italian restaurant” setting.
The 8,000-square-foot restaurant with additional outdoor dining will be led by Antonia Wagner as regional manager, Jordan Herigstad as regional chef, Melzar “Edo” Budijanto as executive chef and Brett Hummel as general manager.
In addition to the leadership staff, North Italia is seeking to fill more than 180 staff positions ahead of its opening in late May. More information those positions can be found at the company’s website.
A job fair is being held as well to recruit new employees. According to a release, jobseekers after applying at the link, are encouraged to “stop by the job fair located at Meridian Village (3540 E. Longwing Lane, Ste. 250, Meridian, Idaho, 83646) in the space between Francesca’s and Brighton on the second floor, now through Sunday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.”
North Italia was first opened in Arizona in 2002 and has expanded to more than 45 locations across the country.
