This is so easy a cave…well you know the saying!
Gravy Recipe:
(If you use one whole tube of sausage, just double this recipe)
1/2 lb of breakfast sausage
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
3 cups of 1/2 and 1/2
Salt and Pepper to taste
Pizza Crust:
I use one Pillsburg pizza crust in a tube, be careful opening it!
1 lb of mozzarella cheese
4 eggs
2 tbs of milk
First you want to cook your sausage in a pan on the stove. When it is browned and fully cooked add the butter and let melt fully. When butter is fully melted add the flour and whisk over medium high heat for 3-4 minutes.
While this is cooking, put your 1/2 and 1/2 in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes, this helps the gravy come together faster.
Next, add half of the 1/2 and 1/2 to the meat mixture and cook until it thickens and then add the other half, stirring constantly so it does not stick.
When it starts to boil, test the thickness of the gravy with the back of the spoon, it should coat the spoon and not run all the way off, if it is too thick add more cream or milk. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Spray a 9×13 sheet tray and roll out the pizza dough, you are going to want to roll the edges up so that the egg mixture does not run off in the next step. Poke the crust with a fork about 20 times so the crust stays down during baking.
Bake this for 5 minutes at 450 degrees
While it is baking, scramble the eggs and milk together and add pepper to taste (do not add salt to the egg mixture, it will cause you eggs to be watery.
Remove the crust from the oven and place 2 1/2 cups of the gravy on the crust and spread it out evenly. Then cover the gravy with your cheese, you can use more or less if you want.
Gently and evenly pour the egg mixture over the cheese.
If you want to add veggies or more meat like, ham or bacon, now is the time to do it.
Once you are ready to bake your pizza, put it in a 450 degree oven for 10-13 minutes, depending on how your family likes their pizza cooked.
Removed from the oven and let rest for 3-5 minutes. Slice it up and be everyone’s hero!
Hope you enjoy!
