This is food that everyone should know how to cook. Chicken Caesar wrap my way. It’s got crispy chicken, miso dressing, caramelized onions, and pepperonchinis. If I at a restaurant, this is how I’d sell it. This feels so healthy, but unhealthy at the same time. Let’s get one thing straight, though. Chicken Caesar wraps are not healthy, but I crave them all the time, and good ones are hard to find. So, I decided to make my ideal version, which means I’m under toasting my croutons. I can’t stand it when they’re too crunchy. Kind of hurts to eat. Perfect. For the Caesar dressing, I do a few things different to make it way better. I’m adding miso and mayo, then blending with avocado oil. I’ll finish it with olive oil for flavor. But if you only use olive oil, it turns bitter. Then chicken strips over chicken cutlets so you get nice big chunks of chicken in there. I add miso to the eggs instead of salt. Then set up a three-part breading station with some Italian seasoned panko. And don’t freak out. We are frying an extra virgin olive oil. It’s completely fine. Just don’t let it get too hot. As for wrapping this thing, I recommend sonoran style tortillas if you can find them. They get nice and stretchy when they’re hot. I don’t understand what's unhealthy about this. Except for maybe the fried chicken. That's not inherently unhealthy though, you're getting good nutrients in those ingredients.

Never ever in my life have I had a burrito, Caesar salad, or chicken mixed with veggies, but damn man that crunch has got me hyped! Looks so good!

“Healthy” really depends. Just because you have sauces or dressings doesn’t automatically make something unhealthy. “Healthy” is doing what you can to make the food you eat better. Like what he did here. He made it at home, so he knows exactly what’s in it. The chicken was shallow-fried, not deep-fried. Commercial food has waaaay more salt and fats. This is healthy, and if you eat one and don’t overindulge and aren’t sedentary in your lifestyle, you’ll be just fine (unless you have some kind of condition, of course, that predisposes you to having bad cholesterol, for example). Sorry for the rant, but I hate the whole healthy convo. Like when people say fruit isn’t healthy, yes, it’s a lot of sugar, but it’s nutrients too. Don’t eat too many of them, problem solved. They’re still better than 90% of other sugar sources you can have from the store.
