Proper fish and chips isn’t from a bistro cafe restaurant. Go to a chippy. Not some shite tourist trap.

  2. XxBrando6xX

Damn bro they just chuck the whole damn fish in there and hand that shit to you with some peas ?

  3. BIGG_FRIGG

I love fish and chips but ffs why do restaurants have to put the fish on top of the fries. Hey guys, I see you have some nice crispy fries there let me just put this hot fish on top so they can steam to moist perfection… smh

Where’s the puddle of vinegar pooling on the bottom of the plate?

  5. PoosieSux

You couldn’t tidy the plate up a bit for the photo? Soggy chips falling off the plate, a mess of cold looking peas.

Edit: never mind, you’re American and went to a tourist trap. Carry on.

  6. Beautiful. But aren’t you people all supposed to eat mushy peas with fish and chips?

  7. Lickbelowmynuts

I had a better looking fish and chips plate not far from Seattle at Proper Fish to be exact. Looked much better than this to be honest

  8. This isn’t proper fish and chips.

    Source: me, a Brit

Needs mushed peas, proper thick cut fries and vinegar.

  12. If it’s not wrapped in newspaper page; I don’t call it proper.

These idiots in the comments section ..

This looks incredible as a Brit and fish and chips fan.

  14. MrFivePercent

Ugh, no thanks to the soggy chips. Don’t cover them!!

  15. It’s not proper fish and chips unless it comes wrapped in a newspaper with way too much salt and vinegar on it and you’re sat in a car with you’re family overlooking a desolate beach while it’s utterly pissing it down and lashing a gale.

aren’t the peas supposed to be all mushy? I remember watching a video on it and being fascinated by them since I love peas.
