Chimney is far less effort

This is my go-to for sure, I have good luck doing it for about 30 seconds tops in either my big green egg or WSM and just letting the vents do the rest.

I use an electric element. Very easy, takes 7 min.

You can also use this for a nice sear on a steak

What’s the point of packing both a charcoal grill, and a propane tank/weed burner?

I do this. Takes about 1 minute to blast it.

Kind of an intense setup to light 8 charcoal briquettes.

I use the side burner on my gas grill to light my chimney, which I use in my charcoal grill.

I set my full chimney over the top of one of those outdoor burners used for turkey fryers and let it rip for like 30 seconds and it gets the coals going way quicker than using a tumbleweed.
