14oz – 400g raw shrimps (prawns), peeled and deveined tails on.
5 tbsp olive oil
4 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1 red chilli or ½ tsp chilli flakes
½ tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp chopped parsley
Juice of ½ lemon
Salt to taste
Step 1
In a frying pan over low heat, heat olive oil with garlic slices and chilli. Gently stew for 2 minutes until fragrant, not browned.
Step 2
Add shrimps in a single layer. Sprinkle with salt and smoked paprika. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until just opaque.
Step 3
Add lemon juice and parsley. Toss to combine and remove from heat immediately.
Step 4
Serve sizzling hot in the pan or spooned onto a small dish with plain or toasted sourdough bread on the side for dunking.
Short-on-the-Outside
This looks good! I may go coward and not include seeds though. Only question is using just using olive oil, is it too “oily”? Either way, I’m definitely going to try this.
