How’s the mac taste?

Add cottage cheese to your mac to add liquid that makes it more like a casserole. I’d personally get protein elbows from barilla and make a cottage cheese and low fat cheddar sauce then dump everything else in. However, cottage cheese and saving a little pasta water will help this not be so dry looking, and add protein.
Boxed Mac n cheese is not a way to watch your sodium. If sodium is a concern, I’d make something like a rice and ground chicken dish with broccoli like a casserole. If you can’t control the sodium added to it, assume it’s high sodium.

If you are really trying to limit sodium, try making the Mac on your own using high protein milk/lite cheese
Replace normal salt with potassium enriched (lite salt) so you can still season your meals.
Double check any packaged/processed meals as they tend to be boosted in sodium levels.

here’s how you can fix this brother.
toss out the processed mac and cheese.
get instead: chickpea noodles (they make mac shells, plus other shapes, chickpeas naturally have fiber and protein – banza is the brand walmart carries), and get protein boosted milk. if you’re watching calories, Silk brand has a low-calorie protein milk (look for silk protein almond milk). cheese also has protein naturally. look up what cheeses are good for melting or for mac. grab a few pre-shredded bags.
your nutrients will go through the roof and so will the taste. sodium, carbs, and calories go down. season with garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. try it once and you won’t believe how much richer the meal tastes. trust.

I did something similar a couple weeks ago. Add some sautéed onion and a couple of cans of rotel tomatoes (HEB makes a good spicy one with habaneros) to really send it

What containers are those?

If you’re trying to maintain your weight, using premade Mac and cheese is one of the worst things you can use. Better make them yourself for far less calories and better macro nutrients.
