ICE – Agency for the Promotion Abroad and Internationalization of Italian Enterprises | Department for Trade Promotion of the Embassy of Italy (ITA – Italian Trade Agency) – is holding the 4th edition of the “I Love Italian Wines” roadshows in September.
The meetings are promoted in collaboration with the Agency and Milanez & Milaneze – a Brazilian company controlled by VeronaFiere that organizes the Vinitaly fair, in Verona (Italy), and Wine South America, in Bento Gonçalves (RS).
The tour will travel through three Brazilian capitals: Rio de Janeiro (Sept. 8, at Copacabana Palace), São Paulo (Sept. 10, at Hotel Unique) and Belo Horizonte (Sept. 12, at Hotel Fasano).
The program includes exclusive tastings, networking moments and masterclasses led by industry experts with more than 500 wine labels from different Italian wine regions that will be presented to industry professionals, buyers, sommeliers and trade press.
About 50 exhibitors are confirmed, including wineries-many of them new to the Brazilian market-and importers active in the marketing of Italian labels.
Masterclasses will be one of the highlights of the program. In Rio de Janeiro, they will be led by Paulo Brammer, founder of one of Latin America’s leading wine and spirits training schools and internationally recognized with the Future 50 Awards.
In São Paulo, the host will be Jorge Lucki, one of Brazil’s most respected wine critics, author of books such as “A Experiência do Gosto” (The Taste Experience, in Italian) and member of the Académie Internationale du Vin.
In Belo Horizonte, the headliner will be Mário Márcio Lescano Júnior, appointed Italian Wine Ambassador by the Vinitaly International Academy and holder of several advanced certifications, including the title of Italian Wine Scholar with highest distinction.
The events will also include the presence of a group of companies coordinated by the Merano Wine Festival-created by Helmuth Köcher, a reference in the international wine scene-who will conduct specific masterclasses in the three capitals together with Professor Marcelo Vargas, one of Brazil’s most awarded sommeliers and educators.
