The BEST Cajun Shrimp Pasta Recipe | Spicy, Creamy & So Simple!
This Simple Cajun Shrimp Pasta gets its bold flavor straight from Cajun butter, which infuses the shrimp, vegetables, and cream sauce with smoky, garlicky heat. Instead of piling on heavy spices, the Cajun butter does all the work, creating a balanced sauce that’s rich, slightly spicy, and full of depth. Paired with juicy shrimp, tender peppers, and a mix of fettuccine and spaghetti, it’s a comforting pasta dish with a Louisiana twist.

Ingredients
• 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
• 2 tbsp Cajun butter (or regular butter mixed with Cajun seasoning)
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 can Rotel (tomatoes & green chilies)
• 1 red bell pepper, chopped
• 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
• 3 tbsp cup white wine
• 1/4 cup heavy cream
• 1 tsp garlic salt (to taste)
• ½ tsp black pepper (to taste)
• 1 tsp Italian seasoning
• ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
• 8 oz pasta (mix of fettuccine and spaghetti, or your preference)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta
• Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
• Add both fettuccine and spaghetti, cook until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp Cajun butter + 1 tbsp olive oil and garlic over medium-high.
3. Add Rotel tomatoes/green chilies for 3–4 minutes until softened, then bell peppers, and shrimp continue to sautéed
4. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly heat, add and stir in heavy cream, simmer until slightly thickened (about 5 minutes). Add garlic salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
5. Toss the cooked pasta into the mixture sauce, adding a splash of pasta water if needed for creaminess. Add and Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
6. Serve • Garnish with extra Parmesan and fresh parsley if you like. • Serve hot with garlic bread or salad on the side. (option)
