An annual holiday event with Raccoon Valley Radio will continue this week in new locations.
Raccoon Valley Radio staff is doing a series of Caring Christmas Food Drives where the Big Red and Little Big Red Radios will be on location ahead of Christmas, and people can buy non-perishable food items or make monetary donations that will stay in that community’s food pantry, following the broadcasts.
This week’s broadcasts will be today at the Fareway in Jefferson from 3-5pm and at Hometown Foods in Panora from 4-6pm, tomorrow at Hometown Foods in Guthrie Center from 3-5pm, then at Perry’s Fareway on Wednesday from 3-5pm, followed by Perry’s HyVee from 3-5pm on Thursday, and concluding with Jefferson’s HyVee from 3-5pm and the Adel Fareway from 4-6pm.
Keep in mind that when you make a donation during the broadcast, you will automatically be entered into a drawing to win the Christmas Cash Giveaway. All three stations of KDLS in Perry, KGRA in Jefferson and KKRF in Stuart will each have $1,000 to give away for a grand prize winner.
