Found someone near me selling this for $100, says they only used it a few times and just don’t use it anymore. Is it worth picking up and investing in or should I keep looking around?

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!

If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!

    *What seasoning did you use?

*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?

*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?

    Traeger on!

Worth saving? Looks nearly ready for the meat.

I would say it’s great shape for 100 as long as it’s in working condition. I’ve picked them up before and someone says “only used a handful of times” but then doesn’t mention that it’s been 2 or 3 years since they’ve fired it up and it’s completely jammed. So as long as it feeds and fires up you’re in great shape

I’d offer $50, clean her up and smoke a way!

Be prepared for the auger to be jammed if it hasn’t been used for a while. The pellet residue swells with moisture.

It’s not too hard to take it apart and clean it out, but may seem daunting.

Google and YouTube are your friends.

Ask to test it first. If the augur is jammed, another post indicates you can fix that relatively easily, but at that point it’s just your decision whether you want to invest the time to learn how to do that or not.

  7. I’d clean it up but this is ready to cook (assuming all components work).
