Wow …. 86 bucks with two soft drinks and tip. It was decent, but not worth the steep price.

why would you tip, you order at the counter? it is pricey tho, but def the best i’ve had on the east coast (besides mine or a buddy’s)

What all did you get? Estimating 4x$6 for the sides, 2x $7 for the sausage, 1/2lb of ribs for $14, 1/2 brisket for $18, 2 drinks for $3.50+ a tip…pretty standard pricing if it were Texas.

Lewis is my favorite brisket outside of Texas.

Lewis is fantastic, my go to recommendation for BBQ in Charleston. There are much better traditional low country spots, but this place has the best crowd appeal and does everything perfectly imo. Their corn pudding is also my all time favorites bbq side.

Lewis BBQ brisket was the brisket that made me realize that brisket is the gold standard of BBQ and that all other brisket I had prior was subpar

Whenever someone tells me that brisket is overrated or not good, I tell them that they haven’t been to Lewis BBQ

I’ve never heard anybody say that Lewis was “just ok” curious what you think of other spots in Charleston. Go to Leon’s for fried chicken, oysters, and champagne!! Perfect combo, especially if you throw a few caviar bumps in the mix!!
