So many choices! What's the difference between the regular hot sauces and the seafood hot sauces?

  1. Depends on what you already have and what your spice tolerance is. I enjoy most of the El Yucateco hot sauce line up, some are good, some are mild, some are too hot for me. Can’t tell what to try without telling us what you’ve already had or how hot you like your hot sauce

Purple right in the middle. Habanero with Ghost pepper. Shit is fantastic

I’m looking for more info on the lesser known sauces. I have all the “standard” El Yucatecos in my fridge already (green, xxxxtra hot, black label reserve, and I love Marie Sharp’s)

El yucateco green and chipotle are my favorite

  5. I had the Salsa Sinaloa Chilitepin recently, and it was one of the best hot sauces I’ve had in a while with pretty decent heat. Not a complex flavor but just really good. I’d imagine the rest of their lineup is amazing as well.

yucateco chipolte isn’t very spicy, its very similar to a spicy enchilada sauce, great flavor enhancer for mexican, and probably the best hot sauce I’ve had on eggs.
i can literally use half a bottle on an omelet, and when im done ill still want to make another and finish it off. def worth a try at least once

Some of the el yucatecos are uncommon and won’t be regularly stocked once their “anniversary” run ends- so I’d pick up those. Everything else you’ve likely had before. The xxxtra dark green yucateco is the only top-top tier (award winning) sauce in that aisle, though it’s not the hottest one.

I enjoyed the habenaro tajin, its could have been a little spicier but was still decent

I would say Marie Sharp’s but it’s not there. I like the habanero yucateca too!

Tapatio and Valentina Black are solid staples. If you haven’t tried them yet, you must.

El Yuc Caribbean and Chipotle are both favourites of mine.
Caribbean is a carrot base sauce, kind of like Secret Aardvark. It gives it some nice flavour, not just outright heat. I like it on all things; omelettes, burgers, wraps.
Chipotle is like a spicy BBQ sauce. I put it on meat; steaks, sausages, ribs, bacon & egg rolls.

Habanero tajin (little bottle at the top left with yellow cap). Amazing on fruit and good for drink rims and adding to beer

  18. Repulsive__Blueberry

Kraft Original BBQ has some serious kick to it

  19. TheSwanPanky

Salsa Huichol is tasty as hell but not spicy

El Yucateco Black Label Reserve is maybe the most polarizing hot sauce I’ve ever tried. I know people who love it and will go through a bottle in a couple weeks. I think it tastes like the bitter farts of Satan. But maybe try it and see where you fall.

If you havent try every single one of those Yucateca brand sauces, youll find one you like

  22. Minute_Mess5672
