Just recently found this sub and felt inspired to give it a go. I wanted that roasted flavor but the indoor oven wasn’t cutting it so I ended up putting the veggies in my pizza oven in order to get that open flame. Overall, plenty of things to improve next time.

Pretty simple recipe-wise: Jalapeños, hatch chilis, Roma tomatoes, white onion, garlic, cilantro, lime, cumin, & salt to taste.

For me, hard to screw up a salsa too bad. Looks like it taste good according to the half full bag of chips in the back, cheers to your first

  2. And your thoughts?

Lots of different things you can add and try, including blending process. I like a chunky salsa so I use the mince setting on my blender. I also use Habanero, Serrano, Hatch/Anaheim, Guajillo, etc.. depending on mood. You can also roast, smoke, both, char in a pan or what have you.

    Experiment and enjoy. 👍

Yeah it’s hard to go wrong once you start. Experiment with different peppers and enjoy.

In case you put that entire sheet tray in your pizza oven: Non-stick coated items shouldn’t be exposed to temps above 500F (and let’s say 475F to be safer). Above that temperature the coating will start to break down and emit a toxic gas. It will make humans sick, but can be immediately deadly to birds.
