This isn't the most unique recipe given it's not terribly far off from tuna casserole but I am interested in what people think of this one. If you ask my mom, born in 1960, she hated tuna casserole with a burning passion, but some people look on it more fondly.

I personally wouldn't try this but that's not because of the recipe, it's because I can't stand tuna or American cheese, and I only like cream of mushroom in one recipe. Mixing them all together is not a culinary experience I strive for.

The only thing that's throwing me off looking at this recipe is the use of green pepper. I've only had green pepper in tomato-based dishes like stuffed cabbage rolls or pizza, but I feel like that sharp flavor really wouldn't mesh well with these ingredients. But maybe I'm wrong, I'm no culinary expert, I just like scouring community cookbooks for old recipes.

Good luck finding a 6-3/4 ounce can of tuna nowadays.

I used cream of mushroom (or celery) soup, undiluted, in anything where other people used mayonnaise.

I think I would rather eat grub worms. I cannot get down with tuna fish and spaghetti noodles. Granted I have never tried it. I just do not think I could do it.

  3. The tuna recipe makes me want to tell a story about my hatred for tuna noodle casserole as a child and something crazy I did at my cousin’s house because I absolutely was unable to eat it but I will spare you guys the details LOL tuna casseroles traumatize me and they always sound so good especially the ones with crushed potato chips on top but there’s just something about Hot Tuna and tuna in general maybe I would like it more with chicken?
