My mama had some phyllo dough sheets, walnuts and pecans so I cut the dough into strips , ground the nuts and some almonds i had at home..and made some Baklava.
I get home and realize I only have one cup of cane sugar so…I make it work..
I make agda(syrup) with cane sugar, water, lemon juice, tangerine zest and juice, a pinch of salt, and my not so secret secret weapon…a splash of the old fashioned on the rocks cocktail..
It was the best syrup I made thus far.
