DETROIT — A fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant is planning to open a new location in Detroit later this month, according to reports.
Cava will open inside a Bedrock building at 636 Woodward in Detroit on Sept. 26. The new restaurant will be next to the Shake Shack just outside Campus Martius Park.
It will be Cava’s second Michigan location, after its first spot opened earlier this summer in Canton.
With those two locations, Cava now has locations in 28 states and the District of Columbia.
Cava is best known for its Mediterranean flavors, including spicy lamb and avocado. The restaurant allows customers to also build their own grain bowls, pita sandwiches and salads.
