So glad we decided to eat at Union on Ossington for his birthday dinner a couple of days ago. The service was gracious and efficient, and the food was all just perfection. The Union salad had a tangy vinaigrette, and the goat cheese and fried spud garnish was yummy. And the burrata and tomatoes were later summer delectable. For mains, he had the sticky ribs and I had a perfectly cooked charcoal grilled halibut steak with a light fennel beurre blanc over a warm salad, once again with late summer produce at its best. Dessert was roasted peaches with blueberry compote and house-made ice cream.
