Smoked at 275F(ish) until 145F inside. Best tri tip I’ve ever had.

Honestly one of the nicest tri tips I’ve seen in stores in awhile. Great fat content. Your cook looks awesome.

Had to be amazingly tender with all of that intramuscular fat. Looks delightful. Well done

Can concur just made one 3 weeks ago honestly best beef I’ve ever had. The sign doesn’t say it but it looks just like the one I had American Wagyu. Can’t remember the exact weight of the one I ordered directly but it was about $80.

I love tri tip. Im surprised how rare it is at 145 internal. I usually take mine off at 125 and let it sit for 15 minutes. Nice job, looks delicious

Not that it’s needed (moreso b/c while I generally prefer it, I’ve seen others skip it, and I’m curious to hear ppl’s perspectives on it) but why no sear?

How’d you choose lol? I don’t think I’ve ever seen tri tip marbled like that

When & why did cows get so expensive? I’m about to buy a calf off a 4-H club, offer landscapers a cheap alternative to the dump make some room in my garage & wait 18 months.
