Ezme – Spicy Turkish Sauce

Ezme is a famous Turkish sauce that’s spicy, tangy, and packed with fresh flavors. It’s a must-have with kebabs, BBQ, and grilled dishes – It takes just minutes to make!

Ingredients
• 3 tomatoes
• 1 medium onion
• 1 green pepper (preferably Turkish/long green pepper)
• 1 red pepper
• 2 garlic cloves
• ½ cup parsley
• 1 tbsp tomato paste
• Juice of 1 lemon
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
• ½ tsp aleppo pepper (or chili flakes)
• ½ tsp sumac 1 tsp red crushed chillies
. 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
. 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions
1. Roughly chop the tomatoes, onion, peppers, and garlic.
2. Add everything to a blender along with parsley, lemon juice, tomato paste, olive oil, and spices.
3. Blitz until smooth but slightly chunky.
4. Strain if you prefer a smoother sauce.
5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
