Apparently it was so terrible that she actually cried.

  1. It looks like something I’d make if I’m running out shit to make out of the fridge/pantry.

What’s worst about this is that the pizza in the bottom corner looks bangin’.

Beef ragout is another name for ragu a very red dish

Also if its beef why does it look so much like tuna

    I am concerned

Did he piss off his server or something?

Shit on a shingle but it’s shit on pasta

  6. That’s a 3 am leftover pasta, can of tuna and mayo munchies trip, not a ragout.

It could be an unflattering photo, and who knows how well it was actually cooked and seasoned, but a little garnish would do wonders here. Some parm, olive oil, black pepper, and parsley would make this a real different looking plate.

Edit. I think the photo is also upside down which is adding to the uncanny valley quality. The shadows and angles are backwards but that’s maybe not immediately obvious.

I lived in Ireland for 7 years. I have a feeling this is canned corned beef with pasta.

That is NOT indicative of any rageout I’ve ever had in Ireland. One bit.

As in they didn’t take the rag out before they cooked it?

if you feel the need to serve someone (what I think is) canned corned beef, at least have the human decency to brown it in a skillet first- I can’t eat corned beef that hasn’t had some heavy Maillard reactions introduced, it resembles cat food too much in its uncooked state. I love corned beef hash (corned beef and chunked potatoes) but only if it’s browned to a somewhat crispy texture

Irish person here. This is not Irish food.

  13. Actual Irish person here. I have never in my days seen something like this, please name the restaurant so we can avoid / get an explanation for this.
