Why did you do surgery on your beautiful egg

Perfect for me is not overcooking the white.

  3. Crispy edges, plenty of pepper, drippy yolk…yep that is pretty ideal for me

This is a sad, sad egg. The white should be white, not brown. Eggs are cooked in low so they set and don’t get burned.

The way you undressed the yolk reveal, bravo

Perfect frazzled edges, perfect yolk. This much frazzle in the main white suggests a little scorching from uneven fat or heat distribution. This looks like a solid 9/10 to me.

I fry over 2000 eggs a year and this is nearly as good as it gets (for frazzled over easy). I can’t say perfect, but anyone disappointed in this isn’t worth cooking for.

  7. Its free to not be a dick to people with different opinions that you, OP. Condescension is not flattering on anyone.

Not. But hey, if it’s perfect for you, that’s OK.

I assume that brownness resulted in that egg being over medium. Not the perfect egg for me.

all egg styles perfect, this one especially

Crispy whites and runny yolks — perfect “fried” egg. Oil poaching isn’t frying.

  13. Oh I spilled some “egg white” when I saw that gorgeous egg. Well done!

    It’s all preference.
I consider the perfect egg over-medium.

It’s the perfect egg for you. It’s not the perfect egg for everybody.
