Stone’s High Street has welcomed a brand-new restaurant, as Heaven Restaurant Bar & Grill opens its doors in the former home of Thai Lanna. The new family-run venture brings a fresh mix of Turkish and Mediterranean flavours to the town, offering everything from traditional grills to colourful cocktails.

From Thai to Turkish

For nearly two decades, Thai Lanna was a favourite for locals and visitors. Its closure in July left many wondering what would come next for the building at 11 High Street. Just weeks later, the doors reopened under a new name, and a new chapter began with Heaven.

The restaurant is the creation of a family team who recently moved from London and wanted to bring their passion for Mediterranean food to Staffordshire. With a soft opening now underway, the owners say they’re looking forward to embedding themselves in Stone’s community and welcoming regulars as well as new visitors.

A taste of the Mediterranean

The menu at Heaven is extensive, blending Turkish specialities with Mediterranean favourites. Cold and hot starters range from classics like hummus, falafel, and stuffed vine leaves to calamari, creamy garlic mushrooms, and king prawns.

Signature mains include chicken and lamb shish, adana kofte, and mixed grills served with rice and salad. There are hearty chef’s specials too, such as lamb shank, moussaka, and iskender kebab. For those who prefer something different, there are burgers, steaks, and seafood options, all cooked with a Mediterranean twist.

Vegetarians are well catered for, with dishes like vegetarian moussaka, Mediterranean vegetables, and courgette fritters on the menu.

Cocktails and more

Heaven also doubles as a bar, with a wide cocktail list to suit every taste. Classic choices such as margaritas, mojitos, and espresso martinis sit alongside fizz cocktails and virgin options. There’s also a full drinks menu covering wines, spirits, beers, and ciders.
