Love this but I also never trust the calorie info on these cans

TIL having a “slightly bitter herbal taste, with hints of mint or licorice” = flavorless

I love grass jelly in the summer heat. I usually have it cold with a touch of maple syrup. It’s also great in milk tea instead of boba (a bit of a treat in that case!)

Yeah, it’s usually eaten with a bit of sweetened milk or cream of some kind. Almond milk or even sugar free creamer would probably be great. You could also add some fruit.

This is what I usually get instead of boba for milk tea! Massive difference in calories.

I’ll pass on the grass jelly thanks.

That’s more calories than normal sugar-free Jelly though, and from the comments it doesn’t sound like it tastes that great… why this over normal sugar-free jelly?

Love this stuff (hello, childhood) but my mum would add sugar and evaporated milk so eating it any other way is so disappointing!

I love grass jelly! Sounds like some folks in the comments forget that other cultures/cuisines exist besides their own. Anyway, lol, I love to eat this in the summer and often just with some slightly sweetened honey water! Add some ice and it’s such a good refresher for me. I used to eat this even before I was dieting. Childhood staple for sure, you do you, OP!

this is a common side in boba tea 🧋 or milk tea shops in asia. you can make the drink at home. steep your tea for a long time for stronger flavor add 50ml of whole milk then add grass jelly. adjust amount depending on your taste. you can creamer for milk but i thought milk have less calories.

If you like that i recommend Aiyu jelly (fig seed jelly)!
