Food Network star and Master Pastry Chef Romuald Guiot is launching La Soirée, transforming his recently opened wine bar La Cave in Pasadena into an intimate evening experience blending French wines, live pastry demonstrations, and live music.
Set for Friday evenings on August 29 and September 5 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., the standing-room events feature four free-flowing wines, small bites, live demos, and curated dessert pairings with what Guiot promises as “fun surprises” and opportunities to mingle.
The soundtrack comes courtesy of Jesse Nolan, best known as the artist Caught A Ghost. A two-time BMI Award-winning Los Angeles producer, singer, and songwriter, Nolan is the creative force behind the “Bosch” theme song and has had music featured in “Grey’s Anatomy,” “You,” “Suits,” “The Blacklist,” “Boardwalk Empire,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “Bel-Air” and more.
Guiot, originally from Châlons in France’s Champagne region, brings considerable credentials as a Food Network Spring Baking Championship finalist and La Pomme d’Or award holder. He founded both the acclaimed French vegan pastry shop ID-Eclair and La Cave, which opened in February serving French varietals paired with his signature desserts.
La Soirée represents Guiot’s effort to bring “innovative pastry experiences” to Los Angeles, welcoming guests solo or with friends for what he describes as “great pours, delicious pairings, and a chance to discover new connections.”
“La Soirée” will run on Friday, August 29 and Friday, September 5 at 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. La Cave by Chef Romuald Guiot, 163 W Green St, Pasadena.
