Food lovers are being promised a festive feast without the hassle this Christmas, as boutique hotel group The Pig launches its seasonal stays and dining packages across all nine of its sites.

The Christmas package runs from Wednesday, December 24, to Saturday, December 27, offering guests a three-night stay with meals, including the centrepiece Christmas Day lunch. Dishes on the menu range from Portland crab and Dorset lobster cocktail, to Tanner’s Farm roast turkey and the hotel’s signature porchetta. Desserts include Christmas pudding with brandy sauce, chocolate tart and mulled wine poached pears.

Guests are encouraged to spend their time relaxing, whether curled up with a book, enjoying board games in the hotel’s snugs, or braving the crisp countryside for winter walks. Those staying at one of the coastal hotels are even invited to take a plunge in the sea.

For those not wishing to commit to the full three-night stay, Christmas Day lunch can be booked separately at £160 per adult and £65 per child under 13. Pre-Christmas parties are also available, with a three-course menu starting at £55, featuring ham hock terrine, roast bronze turkey breast or South Coast hake, followed by cranberry and ginger cheesecake.

A three-night stay, including all festive meals, costs from £1,657 for two people. Bookings can be made at www.thepighotel.com.
