$6/case? Looking at a deal although the added dill or jalapeño wouldn’t be my preference.

  2. pineconeminecone

That’s $0.50 a can, hard to go wrong there. I’ve never had this brand but dill pickle sounds fun — you could make a killer tuna salad with that!

  3. billnyethefoodguy1

Yeah it’s good stuff. Skipjack tuna has the lowest mercury content of all the tuna species.

  4. ThatDerfGuy

Does it keep pretty well past a couple months after the best by date?

  5. redceramicfrypan

Tuna is my least preferred canned fish, personally, but I’d still give those a try at 50 cents a can. I generally like wild planet from their sardine and anchovy products.

For a fing CASE!!! That’s a good deal!! You can feed the homeless with that !!

  7. ledgreplin

It’s perfectly normal tuna and is typically ~$3/can. You’re looking at a buy-2-get-10-free deal.

  8. Low_Combination2829

Ohhhhhhh. With dill pickle!! So it’s an acquired taste

  9. Ancient-Chinglish

if you try it and don’t like it, you can always return it and say that they sold it to you past the “best by” date even though that doesn’t really mean anything

tastes like I imagine cat food would taste like…..

  11. When I was in college, my dear grandmother sent me a case with 48 of such 3-packs of 3 ounce cans. My roommate and I were poor students, but that was a mountain of tuna. We’d just moved off campus into a townhouse apartment, and on Halloween we didn’t even think about trick-or-treaters knocking. When the first ghouls and princesses showed up that evening, my roommate tossed a little can in each bag. We didn’t go through the whole stack, but we put a good dent in it. Did our townhouse get egged, I hear you asking. Nope, nobody complained at all—it was a poor neighborhood, so maybe even kids were happy. Motto: Stock up, ‘cause ya never know.

With jalapeño and cumin? I’d be making tuna tacos. And with dill pickle would be good for tuna salad. Heck yeah!

  13. retailguy_again

I’d spend $12 and get a case of each. They both sound good to me, and if didn’t like it (which isn’t likely) I could always donate it.

I get their sardines sometimes. Not the highest quality, but more than acceptable, especially for the price.

  15. tripledox805

I like this brand a lot. Seems like a great price.

  16. I would freaking but it all, and I’m not even that big on tuna.

  17. Few_Ad3187

Good stuff. Solid cheap skipjack tuna… minced but still super good.

  18. Skyline8888

It comes out to $0.17/oz, which is good, but they are expired.

Just to level set, my local BJ’s Wholesale Club sells Bumble Bee Chunk Light Tuna in Oil or Water for $8.99 for a 10 pack of 5 oz cans. There’s currently a $1.50 off coupon, dropping it to $7.49, which ultimately is $0.15/oz and 2027 expiration dates.

That’s arguably the best large tuna brand at an insane discount.

I don’t know about the flavors, but I’d 100% buy 2 cases of each flavor.

  20. b0toxBetty

This is a great deal! Wild Planet is extremely expensive!

  21. 😱 This is my favorite tuna! I usually buy a bunch whenever I find it for less than $3 a can. I would lose my mind if I saw this sale in person. What store is this?

  22. theadamvine

I only by skipjack at this point unless I have a reason to buy a bigger type of tuna (bigger is usually more expensive and has a lot more mercury).

So I got the jalapeno cumin flavored and it’s delicious! Doesn’t even need anything added. Put it on a cracker eat on a spoon it’s sooooo good!

If Tabasco is hot for you then this is a two step below Tabasco still has a light heat that leaves quickly in time for the next bite.

Never really had flavored tuna from a can other than than Thai chili singles
