Hi guys I’m new to hello fresh and my first box was delivered a day late due to a shipping problem. So it was sitting in a truck for an extra 24 hours. Could someone tell me if this meat looks ok to cook?

Should be fine since the box is kept cold but I would still contact customer support and get a refund.
I got a box a day late once and got a refund for it
But there’s no visual indication that meat is unsafe to cook/eat

I would not consume it personally. You can’t see toxins.

Should be fine but you won’t know until you smell it

I’ve had a 1-day delay before and everything was fine. If the meats are still cold and dont look or smell off, I have no problem with it.

How frozen were the ice packs? Totally thawed = meat bad. Half frozen =good
The meat always looks sorta weird, so have to go more by temperature than looks.

You aren’t going to be able to see a difference in the meat if it gets too warm. You will definitely be able to smell it.

You can’t really tell by looking. You can smell it, and it may smell off, but really, besides that, the only way to tell would be to have temp checked it as soon as you received it. That being said, I’ve had a few boxes delivered a day late during the heat of the summer, and even delivered late the next day, nothing has been off.
Still, if you don’t feel safe eating it, they have great customer service and will probably just refund the whole box. And if you feel like everything else is safe to eat, you could always just go buy the meats at the store and use what’s good 🙂

always feel the meatpacks to see if they are still cold when you open the box. If it is still cold when arriving you should be good.

Sniff test when you go to use it
