This creamy, and flavorful roasted pepper hummus is the perfect dip, spread, or snack! Made with simple ingredients like chickpeas, sesame seeds, garlic, lemon juice, and roasted peppers, it’s healthier, tastier, and cheaper than store-bought. Plus, it’s gluten-free!

Ingredients for the hummus –
Colorful peppers- 6 small or 1 big colorful (preferably red) bell pepper.
Garlic – 5-6 cloves
Chickpeas – 1 can or 1 cup boiled
Cottage cheese – 1/2 cup (You can skip this if you are a vegan )
Sesame seeds – 1.5 tbsp toasted
Extra virgin olive oil – 1 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1.5 tbsp
Salt – to taste (be careful as cottage cheese has salt too)
Cumin powder – 1 tsp
Smoked paprika – 1 tsp
Ice cubes -2
For the garnish :
Toasted pine nuts
Toasted sesame seeds
Chili flakes
Caramelized onions
Parsley
Recipe for Caramelized onions – In a pan on medium heat, put 1 tbsp oil, 1 big sliced onion, add salt and 1 tsp sugar. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Now add 1/2 cup water and let it cook on low heat until the water is gone. It takes about 40 minutes. In the end, add 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar. Its ready.
