Was $300 with the cover and there's rewards points promotion on that gives an extra $30 worth of store points. From my reading this is a pitboss 700fb1 but with two probes and a longer warranty.
Picked up the last one in my store but there might be some stores with inventory left. Maxi in Quebec if anyone is looking for similar –

Yep if you’re not in a position to get a fancy one they’re fine. They turn on, hold temp, and cook food. I didn’t buy into the hype for the expensive ones and got a Vida Paderno for like $400 and it works just fine.
I bought one with points and it works well. It did have smoke leaks around the lid, but I used thermal felt to seal it up. Works awesome.
Your mileage may vary.
Used mine all summer, kept it nice and clean while smoking 2x a week. It still looks like new and I expect to get at least 1 or 2 more years out of it provided the electronics dont die. Anyhow, Ill gladly buy a better unit next time, but for my first smoker, learning the hobbie and the final results, pretty good bang for your buck.
Also, I dont think youll get much cheaper than that. When spring hits, it will be a tweaked model at a new price.
