Los Mariachis Mexican Grill
Los Mariachis Mexican Grill, another Mexican restaurant, also has a 5-star rating on Yelp. The eatery opened in Sauk Rapids in April and specializes in Tex-Mex items like fajitas, enchiladas, burritos and chimichangas. Its homemade margaritas are also popular. Tres Pozoles
Waite Park’s Tres Pozoles Mexican Grill has 4.8 stars across 13 Yelp reviews. The restaurant serves three kinds of pozoles, a traditional warm Mexican soup with hominy, meat, vegetables and seasonings, as well as other Mexican dishes. The menu incorporates owner Francisco Vázquez Sobreyra’s family recipes passed down for generations. This Waite Park restaurant’s address is 83 10th Ave. S.
Zeppole Pizza
Zeppole Pizza in Waite Park is tied with Tres Pozoles with another 4.8-star rating on Yelp. The restaurant, which has been in operation for 36 years, offers many specialty and gourmet pizzas, including its Stuffed Chicken Alfredo, Margherita and BBQ Chicken pizzas. Zeppole Pizza can be found at 2152 Frontage Road N. in Waite Park.
Dolsie’s Lunch Box Grille
Downtown St. Cloud staple Dolsie’s Lunch Box Grille is the fifth highest-rated eatery in the area with 4.7 stars across 101 reviews on Yelp. The popular lunch spot specializes in sandwiches like its club sandwich, shaved ribeye steak sandwich and burgers, as well as pastries and rotating specials. This Downtown St. Cloud restaurant is at 810 W St. Germain St.
Jules’ Bistro
Another downtown favorite is Jules’ Bistro which sees a 4.7 star rating on Yelp. It is most popular around lunch time with specialties like grilled turkey artichoke, caprese and a peanut and red curry steak wrap. Its made-from-scratch menu also includes unique breakfast dishes such as shakshuka and “not your grandmama’s biscuits & gravy.” Jules’ is located at 921 W. St. Germain St. in downtown St Cloud.
Gyro King
Waite Park’s Gyro King is also tied with Jules’ Bistro with a 4.7 rating from Yelp. The locally-owned restaurant offers both dine-in and takeout services for its Mediterranean menu of falafel, lamb or chicken gyros and kabobs. It also offers samosas and burgers. Gyro King can be found at 16 Second Ave. N. in Waite Park.
Ippin Ramen
Waite Park’s Ippin Ramen has a 4.6 rating on Yelp. The Japanese eatery offers several ramen options and many appetizers and donburi to choose from. Customers with a sweet tooth can also try its boba tea or mochi for dessert. This restaurant is located at 601 Second St. S. in Waite Park.
Manea’s Meats
Tied with Ippin Ramen, in Yelp’s top eateries in the area, is Manea’s Meats in Sauk Rapids, a local butcher shop known for its deli sandwiches like the Reuben, El Cubano and Balby Special. Cafe Renaissance
The tenth best-rated restaurant in the area, according to Yelp, is Waite Park’s Cafe Renaissance, with a 4.5-star Yelp rating from 100 reviews. The upscale restaurant is known for its expansive menu of European and Mediterranean-inspired dishes, including its moussaka, seafood risotto, and tortellini de renaissance. This Waite Park eatery is at 2140 Frontage Road N.
