I travel a bunch and love trying local fast food.

I'm from Portland, OR.
For us:
SuperDeluxe downtown slaps!
Same with Little Big Burger.
The peanut butter burger at Killer Burger is worth a try.

Not a fan of Burgerville, which is all over the PNW. It tastes like expensive McDonald's to me.

Blake’s is a great local spot, but let me add one more that’s an NM favorite of ours. Bobs Burgers. Yes, we know, there is a very famous show with the same name, but the NM restaurant came first. Gotta try it when you’re in NM! It’s different take on a chile burger than other NM spots. Get the Ranchero Burger (supreme if you want tomato and lettuce) , double patty, w/ Green chile cheese fries. Taco burgers are also a staple and must try. Warning: If you’re not used to hot chile, you might wanna get it on the side.

Helvetia Tavern in Hillsboro, OR and Carver Hangar in Carver, OR. Both have pretty solid burgers. Edge to Helvetia.

P Terry’s! Very close to In and Out but not quite. Bad fries and all. But the burgers are good.

[Fifty Fifty](https://www.fiftyfiftyburger.com/) in Frederick, MD. They’re named for their smashed patties that are equal parts ground beef and ground bacon. They have amazing flavor combinations (or just build your own); they were the first to convince me that peanut butter can belong on a burger. They have the best onion rings I’ve ever had in my life. And while I don’t partake, they offer vegan and gluten-free options on their menu. Oh – and their non-truck spot is located inside a killer local brewery, Olde Mother Brewing. I haven’t found a burger that can beat it!

Here in Chicago, we have Redhot Ranch. Despite the name, they are famous for their burgers!

I always thought Bar Bar on Mississippi had the best burger in Portland. But man, I miss LBB amd those truffle fries sooooo much. Same with Killer Burger.

I love that you’re repping my local Arctic Circle out here in Utah too! Next time you’re here make sure to seek out the Burger Bar in Roy and one of the Greek mafia joints (Crown Burger, Apollo Burger, Atlantis, Astro)

Hi-Ponte in St. Louis and Shake Shack founded by a St. Louisan. Houston has Prince’s which is pretty damn good IMO

Damn I miss Culver’s, when I visit Minneapolis, I get the bacon deluxe, crinkle cut fries, cheese sauce dip, cheese curds, and a cement mixer 10/10

    Buddys Burger

    Austin, TX

Damn their seasoned fries are good.

Same as you. Back in the old days, some Dairy Queens still made killer drive-in burgers, but those days are gone.

I’d include Roake’s, Mike’s, and Helvatia Tavern. Skyline is pretty good too.

Did you ever make it out to Calamity Jane’s in Sandy before they closed? They had these crazy big burgers and a pizza burger. Was super unique food and atmosphere in an old barn.

Little Big Burger with bacon, swiss and chevre is my over all favorite! But if you’re ever in Boardman, check out the C&D drive in- lots of Burger options that most would call decent (but I think are great), homemade donuts, and breakfast burritos! Big Jim’s in the Dalles is beloved

Up here in Vancouver BC Canada, we have something called Vera’s burgers. There are about 20 of them and while they have expanded to Alberta (3 locations), they are mostly just Southern BC. They serve only burgers and they are all gourmet and delicious.

Pal’s…..only in greater Tri Cities area of East Tennessee…I know there’s one or two in SW Virginia, not sure where else but it’s a very small market area..

Super Duper. The recession combo slaps.

Most in my area would say Five Guys, but if you get deep in the heart of my personal area, you have to try a Cavern Burger from Spelunkers in Front Royal, VA.

Leon’s Burgers and Wings if you’re ever in India, specifically Hyderabad, Bangalore, or Mysore. I’ve tried many burger places but I don’t think anything comes close to Leon’s in terms of taste and value (in India at least).
