Keftedes Cypriot meatballs recipe at https://smartchef.pro
Welcome to Smartchef.pro on YouTube. Today we will be cooking criate meatballs, also known as keptis. They’re made with pork, potatoes, and fresh herbs. And the best part is they’re super easy to make. In a large bowl, mix together one pound of ground pork, one grated medium potato, one finely chopped small onion, one par four cup of chopped parsley, and one teaspoon of cumin. Add in one egg and mix well. Then add in half a cup of breadrumbs and mix until just combined. Now we’re going to roll the mixture into small balls. And before we cook them, let’s pop them in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. This is going to help them firm up so they hold their shape when we fry them. While they’re chilling, heat up half a cup of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, we’re going to roll the meatballs in the oil until they’re golden brown. This will take about 8 minutes. After 8 minutes, remove the meatballs from the pan and place them on some paper towels to drain. And that right there is your quick and easy criate meatballs. Serve them up with some yogurt and enjoy. Thank you for watching.
