So, you’ve been looking for an easy 30-minute meal to feed your family at home. Well, this one right here, I think this one’s worth your time. To this medium high heat pan, we’re going to add about a tablespoon or two of bacon to our sausage. So, we’ve got some good color on that sausage. We’re going to add in our green peppers. You can use two green peppers, but I only had one, so I’m going to show you the substitute at the end. And one onion and give those a good mix. We’re just going to let those go until they’re nice and soft. Onion powder. Why did you add more onion powder on? I know I put onions and onion powder. That’s just how it works. Paprika to taste. Just gives the color anyway. Cayenne pepper to taste. Oregano to taste. UFO salt. No extraterrestrial pepper in this one. Well, there’s the sneeze. Officially, it’s been seasoned. Our onions and peppers are salt. Cup and a half of whatever rice you use. I always just have jasmine on hand. Just going to let that go in the center and let it get all roasty toasty. But do come in here and stir it around a little better or else that rice will burn to the bottom. Toasted rice, excellent burnt rice, not so good. A nice golden brown. One drain can of green chilies and tomatoes with the green chilies. That’ll replace the other green pepper that I messed up on. Not happen. We’re going to add three cups of chicken stock. If you didn’t happen to drain that can of Rotel, just add a half a cup less. Give this a good stir. Making sure we get the bottom good and scrape. It takes like 15 20 minutes for that rice to cook, but make sure you cover it and stir occasionally. This would be the perfectly good time to take out the trash. Clean up your mess. Spend time with the kids. Whatever. You got 20 minutes. Scroll on your phone. That’s probably what you’re going to do anyway. I did say stir occasionally. This is an occasion. I’ll be back. You’ll know once you get close because whenever you pull the lid off, you won’t see a whole lot of liquid, but you’ll see that rice eating it up to make a sauce. And that right there would probably make a great dinner. But we’re not done quite yet. Toss in one lb of your raw and chopped up shrimp. Just stir that in really good. Cover that back up for 5 to 10 minutes. You’ll know when the shrimp’s done cuz it’ll change colors. Now that it’s been 5 minutes or so and we’re going to let this cool for about 3 or 4 minutes. Throw in a couple chopped green onions or scallions. Let’s plate it up. See how we did. I know, I know, I know, I know. Just tried a little bit off the spoon. So, tester. And it needs garlic powder. The recipe I got from a family friend also called for hot sauce, but it’s hot enough. So, let’s just go ahead and add flavor. This Baron Burton’s breakfast 2 sauce isn’t overly spicy, but it adds a ton of flavor. If you like salsa verde, that’s where this is at. You’re going to love it as it is. Toss my spoon. Now, that right there looks awesome. Home blazer. Now, I probably went a little too heavy on the cayenne pepper because I thought it was paprika. So, you’re not going to make that mistake cuz the recipe down in the caption is what you should be going by. I just season with my heart. See if I can get a little bit of everything on this fork here. Little bit of shrimp, little bit of sausage. You’re looking for a really easy meal idea to make during the week and you don’t mind just a little bit of spice, this is where I would go. looking for other easy meal ideas and you haven’t already hit a hit follow after watching the whole video. I don’t know what’s stopping you.

  2. Man! Just made this tonight for dinner…… IT KILLED!! The kids and I loved it. Will be looking at your other vids for easy dinners. Thanks!

  3. I do the same thing I add onion and onion powder so don't feel bad I even do garlic and garlic powder nothing wrong with a little extra flavor

  4. It’s was all good til you threw that shrimp 🦐 in there 🤢🤮 dammit why for life of me do people like throwing shrimp in everything

  5. The way you said onion basically reminds me of how my nieces and nephew say that and now I think I know where they got it from

  6. Can you replace the sausage with chicken? I know you can replace the shrimp with chicken (says so in the recipe) but I'm not a huge fan of sausage. Would replacing the sausage change the flavor so it's not as good, or would that be okay?

  7. I am making this, only going to use cut up chicken along with the sausage but omitting the shrimp, as a family member does not like shrimp 🍤

  8. That looks delish, pretty sure it is, tempted to make it but my cholesterol levels are a bit high and won't be able to indulge in such a beautiful dish😢

  9. I have to ask because I really don't know.. about the bacon grease..why not just save your bacon grease when you fry bacon instead of buying bacon grease? I have a canning jar I save mine in. Honestly, I've never seen store bought bacon grease. Curious.

  10. I made this tonight, all three of us love it and there are plenty of leftovers. Also it was quite affordable, I subbed chicken for the shrimp bc I’m broke but it was still amazing

  11. I can honestly say this is one of the best channels I love watching love the commentary while cooking love the food that’s being made awesome all around

  12. For me if it doesn't have the holy trinity it isn't jambalaya. Pretty sure it still taste good but the celery is missing. Doesn't seem like much of a change but celery from my experience is a huge flavor booster.

  13. Bro I didn’t even know you could buy rendered bacon fat 😅 that stuff is a heart attack in a plastic container bruh

  14. Sounds like a failure! Ummm yea it needs garlic powder and hot sauce to drown out its current flavor. Lol😂. Just make chicken and veggies and move on with your life people!
