If I lock in today, I can start the new year off amazingly.
I walk everywhere plus exercise, so please don’t panic about the 1.5 lbs a week. What’s your goal you hope to reach by the end of 2025? Cheers, finish this last 30% strong!

I started in May at 224 lbs and projected to hit my target of 175 lbs in October! I’m right at 186 as of today.
It’s full of little ups and downs but I am getting there!

Nice! What is the tracker in the photo from? Thanks for getting me thinking about starting my goal now instead on 1/1.

Also OP you got this. I am guessing you are a male like me, if you don’t lose as fast as you think you should, try upping your calorie intake by 100-200. I found this sub when googling low calorie recipes, and the knowledgable folks here set me straight that 1200 is really not enough for my height / weight, (6’1, 224 to start) and once i went back to 1400 a day the weight started coming off again as I hit a metabolic threshold. If you go too low on calories your metabolism will actually start to adapt to the lower intake and will slow down, which can lead to confusing plateaus.
This sub in particular has a great and supportive community though, so even though my calorie goals are a bit above what it’s targeted for here, this is an awesome place to talk about your journey and find awesome food ideas.
Looking forward to seeing your progress!

I just decided to “lock in” again today and start counting my calories again after a period of not counting and gaining weight. I’m all set up to start tomorrow and if I stick to it, I should reach my goal by early-mid December 😊
Also, ngl I got a bit jealous at seeing how much of a deficit you can be in, my maintenance is so close to 1200 already that it takes *a while* to lose sustainably given that the deficit is a lot less *cries short woman tears*
You’ve got this OP, your post give me an extra boost of motivation bc of the coincidence 😄

748 is a huge defecit, id change it to 1lb a week and just take a bit longer. It will be far more sustainable

I would like to be about 120 with much more muscle mass. My BF% is pretty high…
