Eric Fritch and his wife, Amy, first opened Patisserie Amie in 2004, with a mission to unite people through exceptional food and culture. Over the years, their bistro became a cornerstone of Traverse City’s restaurant scene.
Like many small businesses, Patisserie Amie faced significant challenges during the pandemic, leading to its closure due to shutdowns and staffing shortages. Undeterred, Eric and Amy pivoted to bring their love of French cuisine to a new format: a food truck named Le Métropolitain Cuisine de Rue serving classic French dishes.
Now, Eric and Amy are reviving the spirit of Patisserie Amie’s brunch service, partnering with Traverse City Whiskey Co. (TCWC) at 201 E. 14th Street. Le Métropolitain has found a new home at TCWC, offering brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. TCWC will also be offering a selection of brunch cocktails. To celebrate, TCWC will host a Brunch Launch Party on February 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Reserve your brunch time: You can select a specific time slot to place your order. When you arrive at The Stillhouse at your reserved time, you’ll be able to order inside from a QR code.
In addition to brunch, TCWC and Le Métropolitain are introducing Monthly Supper Clubs, starting February 20 at 6 p.m. Each supper club will feature a three-course themed menu for $30. The inaugural theme, “Nibbles of Naples,” will offer several appetizers—bean and pasta soup, fresh tomato and mozzarella salad, fried pizza—with pasta rustiche as the entree and for dessert, puffed pastry with Italian pastry cream and cherry.
Upcoming Supper Club Dates:
Mar. 20,Thursday, Korean Fried Chicken
Apr. 24,Thursday, Paella Party on the Patio
Tickets for all supper clubs available on mynorthtickets.com
“The support from the Traverse City community has always been the heart of our journey,” Eric says. “We’re thrilled to bring back the beloved Patisserie Amie brunch and to share new culinary adventures with Le Métropolitain. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to celebrate with us.”
