Welcome to the healthy living series with holistic wisdom from Master Arnold. In this episode, we’re exploring one of the oldest and most healing drinks in the world, tea. For thousands of years, tea has been used as medicine. And today, I’ll show you how to make it even more powerful. Stay with me until the end for a secret sixth ingredient, a bonus tea from the Himalayan mountains, and a recipe that will transform your daily tea into a true wellness tonic. Not all teas are the same. Green tea is rich in antioxidants called kakans, which boost metabolism and protect the heart. Black tea is higher in caffeine and supports focus and energy while also promoting healthy cholesterol. White tea is the most delicate, packed with anti-aging compounds. Herbal teas like chamomile, hibiscus, and peppermint provide calming heart and digestive benefits. For the best results, choose organic loose leaf teas over bagged teas since they hold more nutrients and fewer additives. Now, let’s look at five powerful additions you can stir into your tea to make it even healthier. The first is fresh lemon juice. A squeeze of lemon increases vitamin C, strengthens your immune system, and helps your body absorb more antioxidants from the tea. The second is raw honey. A teaspoon adds natural sweetness, supports the immune system, and soothes the throat. But here’s an important tip. Don’t add it while the tea is boiling hot. Let your tea cool slightly first, warm enough to drink, but not steaming. This preserves the natural enzymes, antioxidants, and healing properties that make raw honey so powerful. The third is ginger. A few thin slices or half a teaspoon of grated ginger root adds powerful anti-inflammatory properties, aids digestion, and boosts circulation. The fourth is cinnamon sticks or powder. Cinnamon in tea can stabilize blood sugar, fight bacteria, and add warmth to your cup. The fifth is mint leaves. Fresh mint can ease digestion, refresh the breath, and calm the mind, turning your tea into a stress relieving ritual. And now for the sixth secret ingredient, moringa powder. Moringa is often called the miracle tree because it’s packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It supports energy, fights inflammation, balances blood sugar, and nourishes the body at a cellular level. Here’s a recipe you can try right away. Brew one cup of green tea. Add a squeeze of lemon juice, one teaspoon of raw honey once the tea has cooled slightly, a slice of fresh ginger, and half a teaspoon of moringa powder. Stir well. This tea will energize you, strengthen your immune system, and flood your body with nutrients. And now, as a bonus, let me introduce you to an adapted version of Himalayan butter tea. Traditionally made with black tea, yak butter, and salt, it gave mountain dwellers energy and warmth in the high altitudes. Here’s a version you can make at home. Brew one cup of strong black tea. Add one teaspoon of grass-fed butter or ghee, a pinch of pink Himalayan salt, and if you like, a teaspoon of coconut oil or MCT oil. Blend until smooth. This creamy, nourishing tea fuels energy, supports brain function, and warms you from the inside out.
