SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Downtown Syracuse is filled with the sights, sounds, and flavors of Italy this weekend as Festa Italiana returns for its 27th year.
The three–day festival, held in front of City Hall, features authentic Italian food, live music, a bocce tournament, historical displays, raffles, and street performers. Families can also watch the popular charity meatball contest, which raises funds for local organizations.
Organizers say Festa Italiana is about more than food, it’s about celebrating culture and community. For nearly three decades, the event has been a September tradition, drawing families back year after year.
The festival runs through the weekend:
Saturday: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Sunday: Noon – 7 p.m.
Admission is free and open to all ages.
