5-year-old Florida boy escapes home, found in fast food restaurant

A five-year-old boy wandered away from his home was found “happily enjoying his breakfast” at a nearby Chick-fil-A, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.

Cava is continuing its expansion in 2025, with locations in five states appearing on the company’s website with “coming soon” labels in the location tracker tab.

The chain told USA TODAY earlier this year that it plans to open over 60 new restaurants in 2025, with a target of expanding to 1,000 locations by 2032. At the end of 2024, the company was operating 367 restaurants in 26 states and the District of Columbia. A company spokesperson told USA TODAY that Cava opened 58 new restaurants in 2024.

The company entered the Pittsburgh market earlier this summer, opening its first restaurant in the city in August with a second location planned for later this year, according to an Aug. 8 news release. Cava also opened new locations in Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Charlotte in early August, along with its first-ever Michigan location in Canton in July.

As the fast-casual chain continues its expansion throughout 2025, here’s where new restaurants will open soon.

According to Cava’s website, the following restaurants are “coming soon.” There are no opening dates forecast yet for any of the restaurants listed below.
