If you find an adult, you’ll likely find more over the next week or so. Eggs may have been laid on your plant somewhere and you’ll soon see bits of damage. Look under the leaves and you’ll might find tiny little caterpillars. I often find them just a half inch long or so. They can do a surprising amount of damage.

It’s funny what a turd these things are at caterpillars, but they are fantastic pollinators when they become moths.

If you have one you have more. Destructive little pests.

I feed them to my turtle. But I save 1 to gow full Mothra just to keep the cycle of free turtle food.

If you found only one hornworm… you most likely have more, and some too small to spot during the day. You can get an ultraviolet flashlight on Amazon for as little as three bucks and easily spot them at night.
