Just like any other stressful event in life, food is the glue that keeps us human. I bought ribeyes for me and my step bro, and a filet for my step mom. Bakers are on the grill, corn next, then steaks. Confirm my existence is needed. This is what I do it for. Food and music are the only thing that feels like magic still.

Sorry for your loss. Did you cut those chives with your feet though?

  6. fleshybagofstardust

These are probably the best chives I have ever seen. May your father be welcomed into the Hall of Chivehalla with glory and honor!

  7. Recent-Use-1999

Dad would not care how well the chives are cut with those beauties sitting next to them.

Who cares about the chives. You’re going to be ok. I’ve been there myself. Time heals all wounds is completely bullshit. But, it does get easier over time. Grieve however you need to.

  12. Sorry for your loss. I had just moved back home 3 years ago when my dad passed. I was cooking up a storm in my parents’ kitchen afterwards. Hope you continue to find solace in your skills.

Chive husband level! Not quite chive daddy, but will do the job.

Hope your dad’s funeral goes as well as it can.

…Chives look like they were cut with your eyes full of tears 😔

    My condolences.

  16. Sorry for your loss. But just a tip, next time use the sharp side of the knife and not the back.

  17. MMachine17

Ch-I’ve seen worse. I hope your dad rests in peace. 🩶

Chives aren’t so great. But you’re gonna be alright.

Lost my dad several years ago now, I’d like to tell you it gets easier but it just kinda becomes something you live with. Remember the good times, remember the food and cook something he’d like every now and then. Keep you head up and stick with your family. Sending love.

  20. You exist, your chives exist, let’s not talk about there quality rn. A meal made with love for your family at a time like this will be fire. Good of you to make sure ur family is having a nice meal rn. The pain will dull faster than memory’s of the love ya’ll shared will fade. Hold strong my man.

  22. Win-Objective

5/10, sharpen your knife. 10/10 on taste I’m sure, steak look aggressively seasoned (in a good way!)

  23. Otto_Duke

Sorry about your dad, brother. Was he a good or great man?

  24. GravyClouds

Fuck your chives. You the one who is A+. Feed your family, feel the love, fucken do what you do, and love it, cause you’re giving out the love as well

  25. Your dad would be proud of you looking after your family like this.

  26. magic_crouton

Food is love. My dad just died too. No one is asking why my biscuits looked like shit. Your chives are beautiful and your fam will feel your love.

  27. tuckthefuttbucker

Way too much chive to steak ratio. I get I t though. Chopping chives is somewhat therapeutic

  28. I’m sure the chives look fine man. Didn’t even look, so sorry you lost your dad.

  29. janeyouignornatslut

Those chives are 11/10 chef and I would be honored to serve them

  30. Who gives a fuck bout those chives when those steaks (strips?) are soaking up all that tasty seasoning. Condolences chef

Edit: ribeyes, fuck me my eyes suck

You’re not gonna remember the chives, you’re gonna remember having a good meal with those you love, which is what its all about. All we can do is make the best of our situation

  35. dude, you’re awesome. Don’t work too hard, and hang in there. Remember to take care of yourself.

  36. pickinscabs

Feel that grief. Let it flow. Then, let it go.

    Chives are alright.
